A HEARTFELT GATHERING AT HÔTEL DANCKAERT

In the historic setting Hôtel Danckaert (Brussels), daŭre hosted an intimate gathering of inspiring women to celebrate beauty, "savoir-faire", and the stories behind treasured heirlooms. A magical evening where past and future came together, reflecting our vision of creating jewellery that becomes tomorrow’s legacy.

When we began planning this special event, finding the right location felt like searching for a jewel to crown our vision ;-). We visited countless spaces across Brussels, but none spoke to us the way Hôtel Danckaert did. Also known as Villa Dewin, this historic house was originally designed by the architect Jean-Baptiste Dewin and built in 1922 as a family home for industrialist Jean Danckaert. The house exudes character and warmth, with every corner telling a story—meals lovingly prepared in its kitchen, gatherings that filled the dining room with laughter and memories. It was exactly what we wanted: a place steeped in history, where we could welcome our guests as if they were part of our own family.

Around the table, we brought together women of taste and inspiration—journalists, content creators, architects, and professionals from the worlds of art and fashion. They were all united by their shared passion for beauty, craftsmanship, and a deep respect for savoir-faire. Each guest was invited to wear an heirloom—a piece of jewellery, clothing, or an accessory tied to a family story. At the end of the meal, they shared the heartfelt tales behind their treasures, filling the room with emotion, connection, and a celebration of enduring legacies.

The menu itself was a tribute to heirlooms. We began with "Gems of the Garden", featuring stuffed cabbage with horseradish sauce and pumpkin accompanied by kale chips, chestnut cream, and sweet chili. For dessert, "Grandmother’s Legacy" delighted us with poached pear and hazelnut tart, served alongside a delicate rose marshmallow— homage to timeless recipes passed down through generations.

This evening was truly a reflection of our brand—modern, active women deeply connected to their time yet honoring their histories. daŭre creates jewelry that tells a story, just like the heirlooms our guests wore and the ones we aspire to create for future generations. It was a magical moment where past and future came together.
